The Outpost is moving soon to a different space within the same plaza (with double the room).
The Outpost carries a good amount of inventory, with a variety of niches addressed. But their self-professed specialty is self-defense guns, with an emphasis on handguns. They are a Glock Law Enforcement dealer, and they had plenty of Springfield XD pistols on-hand. They also had Sig, Beretta PX4, Ruger SR9C and P95, S&W M&P and Sigma, Kahr, and Walther PPS, PK380 and P22 pistols, FN Five-seveN, some 1911s, and a fair selection of .38 snubnose revolvers too :
They also had some Patriot and Hi-Point pistols, including a bulky nickel-plated 380 that weighed about 2 pounds. Some people say that pistol-whipping is a bad practice, because a gun is a poorly-designed club; maybe this gun is an attempt to rectify that shortcoming. (Note: I am not an advocate of pistol-whipping. Why risk a negligent discharge, gunk up your gun, or possibly knock the sights out of alignment or put a pistol out of battery? Use a baton on that insolent hippie instead.)
There were two nickel S&W .38s in the used case; also a Beretta Tomcat, some Glocks, and a pearl-handled .22/.25 (not sure if it was a Beretta or a Taurus):
Yes, they also carry long guns. We saw a nice CZ 452 with a mannlicher stock in .22 and a tempting CZ 527 in 7.62×39, an SKS with a Fiberforce pistol-grip stock, an AR-15-styled 10/22, a Springfield SOCOM, some AR-15s, some Mini-14s, Some shotguns, some lever-actions:
They had the common calibers of ammo in stock, with a special on Remington green-box .22 Target for $5.49/box. I find that this ammo is more reliable than the bulk-pack Remington, and my 10/22 loves it so I had to pounce. They have most categories of accessories covered as well. Holsters, reloading, knives, magazines, speedloaders, and AR15 tacticool parts like single-point sling adapters, fore-ends, grips, rail-covers, buttstocks, etc:
The staff is friendly and approachable. Well worth a visit, and I am curious to see how much more inventory they have when they move to the new larger location in the same plaza.
