Something We Often Forget…

Epic Mustache

Epic Mustache

I found an article by the always-perceptive John Stossel:

You should read the whole thing, but here’s the money quote:

“The right to self-defense, and therefore the right to buy and carry a handgun (the most effective means of self-defense), should require no one’s permission. It is a natural right. The Second Amendment didn’t invent the right to own guns. It merely recognizes it: “(T)he right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” It doesn’t say, “The people shall have the right to keep and bear arms.””

We must never forget that fact.  We already had the right, the Bill of Rights just cemented its existence & protection.

Now let’s rub the gun-grabber’s noses in it!

SCOTUS Rules on McDonald vs. Chicago.

I haven’t had a chance to read through any of the blogs or the opinion yet, but this is great news for all of us who cherish the Constitution, and especially the Second Amendment.

I’ll update with links as I read through what others have to say on the subject.

Truly a historic day.
