Another day, another dumbass carrying around an AR15, looking for a confrontation:
“He has over a dozen such videos of him getting confronted by the Oregon police while he carries his AR-15 .”
It gets better. He describes himself thusly:
“I am a Constitutional guardian and activist, at the same time a Libertarian that will defend the Individual rights of Life, Liberty, and Property against Tyrannical and Collectivism. I am a Oregonian, but support the separation of Oregon to create the state of Jefferson. In the state of Jefferson we will make a new Constitution that resemble the USA Constitution, but with more Individual rights with a dictionary that describe the meaning of the Constitution. I am also a extreme Firearms, Freedom of Speech, and Property Activist”
Sigh. One of those.
And after a deluge of negative comments (shocka!), he posts this rambling, incoherent, foulmouthed reply.
Listening to this guy’s words makes it obvious that he is semi-literate, defiant and an all-around embarrassment to the gun rights movement. Eventually, one of his infantile stunts will get someone killed, and all responsible gun owners will be lumped in with this assclown.
UPDATE:
More OC douchery from the same nitwit.
Since the horrible mass shooting at the Colorado Batman screening, frustrated calls for gun control have mostly come from individual anti-freedom liberals and from some local/state politicians. Most national politicians have avoided making any strong push for gun control because they know the NRA can hammer them at election time (as they did in 1996), and because recent legal decisions have almost unanimously favored the “individual rights” interpretation of the Second Amendment.
That hasn’t stopped sneaky jackholes like upChuck Schumer from trying to sneak new anti-gun amendments into unrelated bills, but that appears to be more of a hail-mary stunt to appease his constituents. There is no way that he is dumb enough to think that it would work.
People are still worked up about the incident, which has led to other incidents. For example, a man (a lawyer!) carried a pistol into a showing of Batman in one of Connecticut’s most crime-ridden cities. Other patrons saw the gun and called police, who swooped into the theater and arrested the man for what will likely be deemed specious charges (“Breach of Peace”, the catch-all charge when the police take a dislike to someone).

How crappy?

Such is life. Like most gun fans, we had no illusions about the attitude that the Teleprompter-Jockey-in-Chief or his faithful lapdog, Eric cockHolder, would take towards guns.
Hopefully the Gunrunner/Gunwalker/Fast&Furious scandals will torpedo these new proposals. Or annoy enough gun people to make a difference at the polls.
In any case, we will continue to pass along relevant information that we find. We freely admit that there are other sites where current news is more prevalent. But hey, we were never trying to be the Instapundit of the gun blogging universe. There’s saysuncle for that. And we all love him for it!
No, we at YGN just try to explore different facets of the wide world of guns and share what we learn with our readers.
It has been a heck of a year. This blog began quietly. Despite baseless rumors of link-trolling, we made our big splash the gun blogging universe by merely stating a position I have held for years. A position which I will continue to reiterate as long as innocent consumers get tricked into buying obsolete, unsafe guns that need to be gunsmithed to make them reliable.
And a lot has happened in a year. Some major legal victories at the state and federal level. A whole bushel of new gun designs came onto the market (such as the Chiappa Rhino and the Kel-Tec’s KSG shotgun). And one of the last states to not allow concealed carry (Wisconsin, where it sucks to be a liberal right now) just passed a law legalizing it (and as Shall-Issue!).
Now it’s just lonely Illinois left to treat its citizens like incompetent sheep. And can any of us honestly say that we expected better from a state run by the Daley Machine and the soulless lying taxocrats it creates? A state that has the Cubs befouling its air? A state that is so ignorant and backward, they think that dumping a lasagna into a crust lets them call it a “pizza”?

That idiot created a confrontation with the intent of filming it. And every other gun owner in America will be lumped in with that jerk in the court of public opinion.
If you read this site, you already know how I feel about people doing provocative things with guns. But I will reiterate my position:
1) I SUPPORT OPEN CARRY! REALLY!
2) I WOULD NEVER OPEN CARRY EXCEPT IN A TIME OF CIVIL UNREST, BECAUSE PRACTICING OPEN CARRY STRENGTHENS THE ANTI-GUN MOVEMENT WHILE DOING LITTLE TO HELP THE PRO-GUN MOVEMENT IN MY VERY BLUE STATE.
Sorry for the all-caps, but I keep being accused of being Paul Helmke’s lapdog because I don’t offer automatic knee-jerk support to every open-carrying attention whore who gets his/her ass into trouble.
We have the gun-grabbers on the ropes, people. They have lost in federal & state courts and in state legislatures. They have no ammo left, as evidenced by the lengths they will go to in order to create an issue (“Fast & Furious”, also known as “Gunwalker”).
Let’s not give them anything they can use to generate anti-gun publicity!

And…
Weak-chinned constitution-hater Eric Holder knew about Gunwalker back in April 2009 (notice the .gov URL!):
(Remarks as prepared for delivery.)
First, let me express my thanks to Attorney General Medina Mora and Secretary of Government Gomez Mont for making this conference possible.
